I am still going for it, one day at a time! I was told that my blood pressure was high (140 over 90) which was one of the things that motivated me to start trying to get healthier. This week I took a trip to the doctor to check my blood pressure and see how it is rating with the weight loss progress that I have made so far. To my surprise it was 120 over 80! I have been feeling so much more energetic it is great! I can’t even imagine how it will feel when I lose another 40-50 lbs. I have been doing a low carbohydrate diet (not legalistically) and for the first time I am enjoying it. I eat meats, fruits, vegetables and lots of water.
A good friend of mine turned me on to a fun web page (sparkpeople.com) that lets me track my daily intake and exercise which is really good for helping me keep in-touch with what is really going on in my “get healthy program.” My routine five days a week is, up early for 30-40 min. fast-walk and 30-40 in the gym lifting light weights. I feel much stronger since I have been in the gym but still am not seeing the results I am hoping for. Hopefully it will pay off over time. I am down one pound this month but I feel good and that is what’s most important to me.
