May Biggest Loser

I finally feel that I am making some progress. Breaking the 290 pound mark has been the most satisfying achievement in my long effort to lose weight! I don’t know why but it seemed that no matter how hard I tried I could not get past the 295 pound mark. I know it is not much but every pound lost feels great! I have new motivation and excitement about my hopes of getting in better shape! At one point, a little over a year ago, I weighed 365 pounds. I can’t imagine how I made it through my day to day. I can remember being winded after tying my shoes or walking a short distance! Now, I am running 5k’s, working out daily and feeling great! I am so excited to see how I will feel at 280, 270, 260 pounds and lighter.

Lately I have been catching myself counting calories and comparing them to “time exercising” needed to burn them off and then choosing not to indulge or indulging (every blue moon) and paying the price of added workouts! This represents a major paradigm shift in how I have seen and done things all my life. Yes, it is going slower that I hoped but it is going, one day at a time, one meal at a time and one work out at a time! My May weigh-in is 289 pounds. Thank you for your continued prayers and for not giving up on me!
