Praise the Lord! In His generosity and grace He has given us a new roof at the T.E.A.R.S. School. For many days after the tornado, both floors were continually flooded overnight by massive rainfall.

The first task every morning consisted in sweeping loads of water out of the upper rooms and down the stairs, splashing onto the cement below. Now that we are again protected and covered, something that perhaps we once took for granted has become something we treasure and praise God for; an incredible blessing.

Our roof has not only been rebuilt, it has been improved upon. This time the rafters are iron, providing a solid, vaulted ceiling overhead. With aluminum-tin alloy sheets on top, the structure is firmer and better prepared than ever to withstand heavy winds and intense weather. At such a time as this, we are reminded of the words of the Psalmist:
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
Psalm 18:2

More than ever, the staff at T.E.A.R.S. School feels connected and loved by our overseas supporters, and we praise God for how he has moved so many hearts to give and help us in our time of need. Thanks for all your support!

Praise the Lord for His provision. The Lord is good and right and just and faithful and does what He wants to do, in spite of us.
