Gospel Transformation | Gregorio

The gospel presents humanity with an amazing reality. That our Creator would die the death we should have died and live the life we could not live. Our Creator did not give us a list of “do’s” but came to us in flesh, dwelt among us, and offered us a relationship with him. Not simply a relationship that lies in a future hope but in a daily reality of him dwelling among us, guiding us, strengthening us, loving us, and Him working in our lives to complete His good and perfect transformation.

The Gospel truly transforms lives. We do not stand before God on our own record and need to muster up the morals or works to be sufficient. Christ is sufficient and it is on His record we stand–loved and accepted unconditionally.

Gregorio, is a life that has been and is being transformed by the gospel. His journey has been marked by drugs, prison, violence, broken relationships, coming to Christ, pushing away from Christ and the church. Realizing that a life separate from Christ only leads to brokenness and emptiness, Gregorio has said No! to a life of drugs and violence and has set his eyes and hope on Christ.

With his wife, Maria, they are now trusting God for His love, His direction, His protection, His provision. The reality of this is wonderful yet difficult. Gregorio knows another life…a life that can provide income and provision for his family which will (very) soon include another son. The pressures of life and friends is intense. Yet in sitting down with Gregorio you will hear of his confidence in Christ’s sufficiency for daily life and eternal hope.

Follow this link to “meet” Gregorio and hear him share his testimony. Please remember Gregorio and his family in prayer. That God would take roots of faith deep in their lives and provide for all their needs. Gregorio’s story is not uncommon in the barrio. Countless people face similar challenges and brokenness. We are grateful that you stand with us as we seek to share and life the gospel in this community and praise God for his work in our midst in people like Gregorio and so many others.
